Shortcuts

Edit the recording shortcut and the History shortcut. The same editor is available from the Home screen. Defaults are a quick tap of the right Option key to record, and Option + Space to open History.

Application behavior

• Launch at login — start Ultra Whisper automatically when you log in.
• Start with the window hidden — launch without showing the window (handy with launch-at-login).
• How long the voice model stays in memory — how long an idle voice model stays loaded before it's unloaded to free up memory. The model reloads on your next dictation. See Voice Models.

Ultra Whisper stays running when you close its window so the global hotkey keeps working. Re-open it from the Dock.

Storage

Choose where Ultra Whisper keeps its data (Profiles, vocabulary, history, and downloaded models). Changing the folder migrates your data and then requires a restart. The default is ~/Library/Application Support/UltraWhisper/.

Error logging

Local diagnostics are always on and are stored on your device — they never include audio or transcript text. Transmitting crash reports is opt-in and off by default. See Settings.
