History overlay
A hotkey-triggered overlay of your past transcriptions, with search.
Every completed transcription is saved to your History. History appears as a hotkey-triggered overlay panel — open it from anywhere, copy what you need, and dismiss it.
Opening History
Press the History shortcut (default Option + Space) from any app. A centered overlay appears with your transcriptions, newest first. Press Escape to close.
Because the overlay can take focus without activating Ultra Whisper, it works even while another app is frontmost.
Finding a transcription
- Rows are grouped by time: Today / Yesterday / This Week / Earlier.
- The search field filters live as you type — and it's IME-aware, so it matches even on unconfirmed (preedit) Japanese text.
Copy, don't paste
The overlay is copy-only: click a row or its copy button to put that text on the clipboard. It doesn't paste into the frontmost app — paste yourself wherever you want it.
Managing history
- Delete a single entry with its per-row delete button.
- Clear everything with Clear All in the footer.
- Blank transcriptions (e.g. silence) are never saved.
History is stored locally on your Mac. Like all transcripts, it never leaves the device.
